Master classes

From February 24 to February 28, 2020 in Ust-Kamenogorsk, on the basis of the Center for Mother and Child, a master class on the topic “Kinesitherapy in the treatment of cerebral palsy” was held. The event was attended by the Head of the Department of the Higher School of Rehabilitation of Tehu University, a kinesitherapist, professor KIM JOONG HWI and the head of the Center for Physiological Development, kinesitherapist, children's rehabilitation therapist KIM JUN KYU, Republic of Korea.
Within the framework of the master class, more than 20 patients of the rehabilitation department of the CMiR with diagnoses of moderate and severe cerebral palsy, Perthes disease, Erb-Duchenne disease, and others were consulted. Participants in the master class listened to lectures on the classification and types of cerebral palsy, treatment methods for children with cerebral palsy, and practical lessons on rehabilitation with spasticity, plegia, joint contracture (including the Bobbat therapy technique) used to improve the quality of life of small patients

From November 25 to 29, 2019, a master class on the topic: “Rehabilitation of traumatological patients who underwent joint surgery” with the participation of specialists from Republic of Korea:

1. Prof. Kim Jong-hwi-PhD, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Head of Department of Physiotherapy, Daegu Catholic University, Editor-in-Chief of the Korean Society of Neurotherapy since 2016, Director of Education of the Korean Association of Bobat since 2013, Member of the Expert Council of Daegu University since 2014 ., Advisor to the Korea Institute of Robotics and Convergence since 2016; and
2. Dr. Kim Hyong Woo - Master of Physiotherapy, Director General of the Rehabilitation Department of the Rehabilitation Hospital of South Korea, Executive Secretary - Korea PNF Association, Daegu branch, practicing instructor of the Korean PNF Association, holder of the international level 5 IPNFA certificate.

Lectures were given and classes on practical skills on hospital patients were held. Consultations were held for 22 patients who suffered injuries and operations on the joints of the lower and upper extremities. An examination and treatment of the main symptoms of the diseases was carried out, with a demonstration for the doctors participating in the master class. At the end of the consultation, patients are given recommendations.

from October 21 to 25 2019 , at the request of the Medical Center, Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Hospital, a master class was held in Nur-Sultan on the topic: "Acute cerebrovascular accident. Bobot therapy method. PNF methods (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation). ” The master class was conducted by Kim Joon-hwi, Professor, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, Catholic University of the Republic of Korea, Dr. Kim Kheon-woo, Director of the Department of Rehabilitation of the Rehab Center in Daegu.
       The program of the master class addressed the following issues:

1. Methods and techniques for recovery of a patient who suffered from acute cerebrovascular accident in the early recovery period
2. Fine motor restoration
3. Sensory integration and post-stroke balance training method
4. Restoring the gait pattern (motor activity)
5. Methods and techniques of rehabilitation for spasticity.

Theoretical material (lectures) was accompanied by a joint consultation of patients and the development of a technique for the restoration of patients after acute cerebrovascular accident.

From August 9 to 15, 2019 , President of the International Medical fund “Severance-KZ” Larisa An, together with the President of the Association of Physiotherapists of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Lee Gen Hee organized a trip of 12 volunteers to the “Zhezkazgan Medical Center” Kazakhmys Corporation LLP. These are physiotherapists from leading medical facilities in Korea. Highly qualified doctors conducted master classes for Kazakhstan colleagues on innovative rehabilitation methods in pediatrics, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, cardiopulmonology.  For the first time, the region learned about the treatment of physiotherapists in Korea. Doctors of the medical center were very actively involved in the training. To further develop cooperation, exchange experience and improve the qualifications of specialists, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation was signed between the public health facility MMF Severance-KZ, the Association of Physiotherapists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and LLP Zhezkazgan Medical Center.

From June 11 to June 15, 2019 a delegation of the Zhezkazgan Medical Center LLP visited the Severance hospital. This was planed as study trip, but the hospital prepared a 3-day internship program for cardiologists, endoscopists and occupational medicine. The program includes lectures, visits to the operation and the Davinci Training Center.

In December 2018 , at the request of the Zhambyl Oblast Health Department, a master class was conducted by the neurosurgeon of the Kangnam Severance hospital, Professor Kim Hak Son, on the topic of surgical treatment for degenerative diseases and injuries of the cervical spine, thoracolumbar spine.

From October 29 to October 31, 2018 a master class on neurosurgery and gynecology was held at the Center for Mother and Child in Ust-Kamenogorsk by professors of the hospital of the University of Gyeongbuk in the Republic of Korea.
Professor Neurosurgeon Hwang Song Gyu operated on 3 children with a diagnosis of
1) volumetric formation of the brain stem
2) secondary internal hydrocephalus, cyst of the right lateral ventricle
3) congenital malformations of bone development
Professor Gynecologist Hong De Gi held a master class in gynecology - surgery to remove fibroids, lectures were delivered.

In October 2018 in KazNU named after Al-Farabi held a master class by doctors of the Gangnam Severance hospital.

From August 12 to 17, 2018 the PF IMF “Severanse-KZ” organized the work of volunteers of the Kangnam Severance Yonsei University in Kyzylorda. The three best specialists of the hospital held a master class on the basis of the Kyzylorda Oncological Dispensary on the topic: Timely diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

19 unique operations performed, consultations for more than 50 cancer patients.

August 30, 2018 at the request of the Health Department of the Zhambyl region, a master class was held on the topic - Knee Endoprosthetics. The master class was conducted by Professor Park Kwan Kyu, specialist in reconstructive surgery at Severance Hospital. 5 patients were operated on, operations of medium complexity were successful. Each of them lasted about 1.5 hours. The hospital conducts such operations 70 thousand a year. In the master class of reconstructive surgery, 20 doctors particiapted from difrent regions. According to doctors, patients aged 60 to 80 years suffer from arthrosis of the knee joint. In the Zhambyl region, every fifth resident is suffering from ill.

From April 15 to April 26, 2017 Professor Kim Hyung Jung held a ministering in Almaty at KazNU named after al-Farabi. Examinations and consultations of patients were conducted, a lecture on pulmanology was held.
From April 27 to May 8, 2017, the professor worked in Aktobe. The trip is fully paid by the professor..

From October 17 to November 3, 2017 in KazNU named after Al-Farabi were held 3 blocks of seminars, lectures and advisory master classes by doctors of Severance hospital for the faculty and staff of the university, as well as employees of regional medical institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topics:

1. "New technologies in medicine in South Korea" on therapeutic endoscopy "
2. . "New Technologies in Interventional Cardiology"
3. . "Innovative technologies for functional recovery in neuromuscular plastic changes"

122 specialists of medical institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part, provided advisory services to more than 250 patients. Students awarded international certificates.

July 2016. In July 2016, an appointment was made to the doctor of medicine, professor, director of the oncological center of the Ewha Women's University (Seoul) Pyak Nam Son in the East Kazakhstan Region. The famous Korean surgeon held a series of lectures for doctors in the region in Ust-Kamenogorsk and several free surgeries.

December 2015. 11/29/2015 - 04/04/2015, as part of the preparations for the opening of the Rehabilitation Center in Ust-Kamenogorsk, a training master class was organized for the employees of the center. The master class was held by rehabilitologists of the Medical Center of the Catholic University of the Republic of Korea.
